2007 Pulitizer Prize winner for best drama
Written by David Lindsey-Abaire and directed by Al Miller, RABBIT HOLE is a taut, beautifully written play about a family's efforts to communicate across the personal issues each is confronted with. RABBIT HOLE focuses on a tragic accident that is intensely felt by all of the characters - five ordinary people who confront extraordinary circumstances, as we all do at some time - and on the efforts of all of them to understand the accident and their response to it and to each other.
"This is one of the best scripts I've worked with and we have terrific cast", says Miller. "Their collective energy brings this remarkable work of art to life." The play features Heather Weafer, last seen as M'Lynn in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, as well Craig Ela, Lee K. Paige, and Reba Short. Young Company member Sean McGuire makes his debut in a Professional Ensemble play as the young boy who lives nearby.
The play deals with grief, with humor, with hope and with understanding and misunderstanding. RABBIT HOLE is a dance that slowly and delicately reveals how courageous and humorous we can be in our efforts to understand.
The show runs July 11 through July 27. Performance times are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm, and Sundays at 5:00 pm (there is no Sunday performance on 7/13).
NEW! For those looking to make a night of it, The Theater Project is running a Summer Dinner Theater discount - on Friday 7/11 and Friday 7/18, audience members can present a same-day receipt from Henry & Marty, Back Street Bistro, Scarlet Begonias, Clementine's, or MJ's Grille & Tavern for $3 off the Rabbit Hole ticket price.
