  • Jennifer Crosby (She/Her) has been a proud member of the board since 2012 and currently serves as Board President. She began with The Theater Project at age 12 and is grateful for the important role this magical place plays in her life. Jennifer is a small business owner and enjoys spending her free time with her family, friends, and sweet pup Willow.

  • Jim Adolf (He/Him) is Vice President for Donor Information and Engagement in the Bowdoin College Development Office. A graduate of Wesleyan University (BA in English with Honors) and Columbia University School of Law (JD with Honors), he is the author of two plays published by Eldridge Publishing Inc. and performed at The Theater Project and in other theaters and schools around the country. Jim lives in Brunswick with his wife, who is a high school principal. Their two daughters, who live in Washington DC and Connecticut, are both Theater Project alumni.

  • Steve Johnson (He/Him) joined the Board in 2022 and serves on the Fundraising and Finance Committee. Although the acting bug never bit him, he loves to experience theater from the audience, especially when his child is performing! When Steve isn’t supporting The Theater Project, he heads the Finance and Business Intelligence team at Atlantic Federal Credit Union.

  • Nina Roth-Wells (She/Her) has served on the TTP board since 2018. Nina’s daughter Emma was involved in the TTP young company and Nina got to know the theater while driving Emma to and from rehearsals. While on the board Nina has served as treasurer, president and most recently secretary. While not a “theater person” herself Nina enjoys watching others perform in live theater and improv. Nina is an art conservator and lives with her husband Andy, children Emma and Chase and a whole lot of animals.

  • Carrie Bell-Hoerth (She/Her) is a Theater Project alum, actor, and board member. In her day job, she runs the Gorham Campus Library at the University of Southern Maine. She lives in Brunswick with her husband Matt and daughter Zelda.

  • Audrey Burns (She/Her) first fell in love with The Theater Project as a teen. As an actor in The Young Company she found community and confidence. She went on to study Theater, Rhetoric, and Music at Bates College, where she now works in the Admission Office. Audrey loves to support the Theater through organizing fundraiser events and spreading the word about this special place on School Street.

  • Corrie Calderwood (She/Her) started at The Theater Project when she was sixteen years old. The Calderwood family, including Kevin, Sophie, and Lily, have been active with the Theater Project on the board, in multiple productions, as campers and camp counselors, patrons, and alumni. Corrie is a local educator, lives in Brunswick; she loves to travel, garden, read, and every opportunity to celebrate live performances.

  • Rose Callan (She/Her) originally joined The Theater Project as an actor and stage manager while in high school but as an adult has been participating as a board member since 2016. She enjoys taking care of and improving the theater building itself and helping to put together events so people can experience the sense of community and belonging that the theater provides. She lives in Portland with her husband and several animals who appear in every recent picture of her except this one.

  • Audrey Cross (She/Her) is a proud alumna of The Theater Project's Young Company. She started out with TTP in the 2006 production of "The Phantom Tollbooth," and was active through when she graduated high school in 2011. She studied Ecology and Environmental Sciences at UMaine and then worked for her alma mater for a few years. When she returned to Brunswick, amidst challenges and life changes, she felt all the good feelings rush back when she visited the Theater Project. She joined the Theater Project Board so that she could pay it forward for other young people to experience the magic of that safe and creative space, the invitation to try new things, and the supportive community; Audrey reflects often that though life is full of changes, those experiences, skills and connections stay with you! She loved teaching a couple of classes at the Theater Project for children ages 3-5, and she looks forward to learning more about empowering youth. Audrey is now a mixed media artist, jewelry designer, shaman, gardener, and volunteer.

  • Beth Saufler (She/Her) is a local teacher and actor who lives in Bath, Maine. Beth has performed in many theaters throughout New England and the South. Her favorite theater is The Theater Project (special thanks to Al and Wendy). She loves being a part of the wonderful board of directors, teaching theater classes to the youngest children, acting on this incredible stage, and participating in the fun classes The Theater Project provides. Her latest class was Improv and it was tremendous! Beth has been a classroom teacher for over forty years and still loves every minute in the classroom. Reading, hiking, kayaking, and dogs are some of her favorite things.

  • Anne Sturm (She/Her) joined The Theater Project board when her daughter was an actor in The Young Company. Anne serves on several committees and she loves spreading the word about how very special The Theater Project is. She lives in Brunswick.

  • John Tower (He/Him) has been a board member of The Theater Project since 2019. He is actively involved in community outreach, audience engagement, and building and grounds maintenance. You can find him in the audience or House Managing during events. John's journey with The Theater Project began when his son spent most of his childhood there. He wanted to contribute his time to a non-profit that shares his values and brings joy to the youth community. John is a parent, a runner, and a theater lover. He enjoys spending his free time contributing to the hard work at The Theater Project.
