Workshop: How Theater Happens

$60.00

Ages 18+

Saturday, October 11th, from 1-3PM

Teacher: Jesica Garrou

Ever attended a show and thought "how do they do that?" Or maybe you even heard that little voice in the back of your head saying "that looks like fun, can I do that?" Now is your chance!

Or maybe you have been in a few shows but you want to learn more... more about acting, more about backstage, more about that demanding stage manager who seems to carry the weight of the show effortlessly... this is the workshop for you!

Come learn how theatre happens. On 10/11 from 1-3, you will learn what the stage manager does, how to track those props, and what it's like to be on stage. Instructor Jesica Garrou is a director and producer from New York, living in Maine and she is ready to show you the insides of theatre. Be prepared to try out many of the roles required to make a play happen.

Who is this good for?

You want to get more involved with the Theatre Project (or other theatre group) but you don't know what you might do.

You are an actor who wants to learn more about the tech side.

You have run crew but want to learn about other roles.

You are a tech who wants to learn what it's like to be an actor.
