Does your 3-5 year old love the spotlight? Perform in the living room for family? Create plays and use their imagination? It’s time to try a theater class! In this week-long camp, young actors explore their creativity through playful, age-appropriate theater games and activities.  Along the way, they’ll start learning important skills like teamwork, listening, and sharing ideas, all while building confidence and having fun on stage!

There will be a small performance for friends and family on the last day of camp.

There is no after care option for this camp.

Monday, July 6th - Friday, July 10th

Science and theater come together in this one week performance camp!  We’ll look into the world of bugs!  We’ll get to know their names, what they look like, what they sound like and how they move!  All bugs are characters with unique personalities.  And what do we do when we have all the bugs together?  Why, we have a picnic, of course!  EXCEPT, someone forgot to bring the food!  Will the picnic be ruined or can the bugs work together to save the day?  In this performance camp, actors will help with costumes and props.  We’ll create an original story to share at the end of the week!  

There will be a small performance at 2pm on July 10th for friends and family.

New This Year: an After Hours Option! We are opening up our theater for after camp care.  This will be more free play, games/craft based activities.

Monday, July 27th - Friday, July 31st

Welcome to the world of theater!  In this week-long teen intensive, campers will write, design, build, costume, direct and perform original and scripted theater pieces.  This will be a very hands-on experience with the teens learning about everything that goes into a production, from auditions and casting right through opening night!  There will be one public performance of the final product on the last day of the camp session.  

There wil be a performance on July 31st at 4pm for the public.

Welcome to Ancient Greece!  In this comic original retelling of the classic Greek myth, Pandora is given a box from Zeus with direct instructions not to open in.  But that’s not all she gets in the mail!  She and a cast of zany Gods, Goddesses and silly sidekicks need to figure out where all the boxes are coming from, and most importantly, which is the one she is not supposed to open!  With lots of physical comedy and wacky mix ups, will Pandora lose hope?  Or will she and her team of friends get to the bottom of the mystery?  In this two week production class, campers will memorize their parts and help with the set building, costumes and props.  The camp will end with three public performances of the show at The Theater Project.  

Performances are August 14th and 15th at 6pm and 16th at 2pm. All campers should plan on being available for those shows.

In a world of numbers, everyone gets along!  The ‘ones’ are happy to be alone.  The ‘twos’ are always hanging out with a bestie!  Everyone has a place and everyone is happy. . . . Until one day when the ‘sixes’ and ‘sevens’ get into an argument about which number is the best.  The ‘sevens’ think they are the best because they are prime.  The ‘sixes’ think they are the best because they are cute and curly shaped and easy to get along with.  When their argument threatens to disrupt the peace in Numberland, it’s up to an unexpected number to solve the problem.  Who is the best number after all? 6? 7?  We’ll see!  In this performance camp, actors will help with costumes and props.  We’ll create an original story to share at the end of the week!

In this one week rec camp, campers will spend each day focusing on theatrical elements that make productions magical. In this loose-structure, hands-on camp, campers will learn about designing sets and costumes, the art of puppetry, elements of stage management, and more, learning about behind the scenes and onstage skills outside of a production. There will be no performance for this camp.
