Our educational programming enables participants of all ages to take risks, to discover their creative spirit while problem solving and working together, and to take responsibility for what they accomplish. Using improvisational exercises and acting games, children are introduced to the many ways theater can both tell a story and bring us together.

We are committed to offering the community stimulating performances that encourage audiences and participants to think and feel; to laugh and cry. Our acting companies include The Professional Ensemble, The Young Company, The Young People's Theater, and The Center Stage Players.

For over 40 years we have conducted workshops and residencies and special performances throughout Maine, New England, and beyond. Our theater workshops help develop initiative, cooperation, communication, risk-taking and problem solving, all attributes that are essential in a learning environment.
